Catching Stripers and Hybrids in 36-40 Feet of Water

We are down lining in 36-40 feet of water. Our fish are coming 4 cranks of the reel off the bottom. It’s not a fast bite. The fish come under the boat and we get 4 or 5 hits then they are gone. In a few minutes they are back or another group comes under the boat. We catch some of those then they are gone. The water temperature is 55 today and air temperature is mid 60s. We pick an area where we think the fish will be and start tapping on the bottom of the boat just waiting on the fish to come. Some time it works, other times we have to move.
GOOD FISHING,
CAPTAIN BILLY
