Still Fishing Boards

Some of the herring, that we are fishing with, still have eggs. I think that’s what keeping the stripers and hybrids in the shallow. We caught a limit of fish today in 4-40 feet of water on boards. The stripers are starting to move to deeper water. We will start down lining next week.

Pulling Planner Boards

Today may 29, 2017, the Barrow family fished with me, Becky, Tiffany, and Granny and also my son Brad. They had a total of 40 fish with 10 year Tiffany catching the big striper of the day of 15 pounds. Yes, we are still pulling boards on humps and long points.

Fishing Planner Boards

Fishing with me on May 28, 2017 were my son Brad Murphy, Becky Barrow and her daughters, Tabatha Barrow, Tiffany Barrow, and Destiny Moore. They caught 25 stripers and hybrids with Becky catching the big fish of 4 pounds.

Still Pulling Boards and Free Lines

Water was 74 degree today, May 26, 2017, and we pulled boards. Fishing with me was Bryan Wilson and his 8 year old son Grant from Evans, Ga. and also Gabe Kirsch from Cleveland, Ohio. They caught a total of 30 fish with Grant catching the big fish of 4 pounds.

Fishing is Red Hot

We had a great outting with three Kentucky guys. They were Mike Casebolt and his son Josh and their friend Josh Johnson. They caught 24 fish with 10 being spotted bass and large mouth bass and 14 being stripers and hybrids. They released all the bass. Josh Johnson caught a 6 pound bass and Josh Casebolt caught a 8 pound striper. Check our photos out on Face Book and our web site.

Stripers and Hybrids Everywhere

Everywhere that we go with our planner boards and free lines, we are finding fish. We are catching stripers, hybrids, catfish, spotted bass and large mouth bass. All of these are caught together on humps and points. These fish are still full of eggs. Some are in 20 feet of water and others are in 3 feet of water. We are still seeing a lot of schooling fish. Fishing with me on Sunday May 14, 2017, were Mike Casebolt and his son Josh and their friend Josh Johnson all from Pikeville, Ky. They caught a total of 24 fish. They had 10 spotted and large mouth bass and 14 stripers and hybrids. Josh Casebolt had the big fish a striper that was 8 pounds.

Good Day To Fish

Larry Freeman from Grovetown, Ga fished with me today. We caught 20 stripers and hybrids, big one 5 pounds, 3 catfish, big one 11 lbs, 3 large mouth bass, big one 5 lbs. We were pulling boards and free lines over humps and points off the main channels.

Fish Are On The Points and Humps

I had the honor of taking out Twins Irv (From Hendersonville N.C.) and Bernie Kershner (from Palm Coast, Fl,) for two days of fishing and release. They were celebrating their birthday. They caught a total of 73 Bass, stripers, hybrids and catfish. It was great visiting with these older fisherman and their experience of fishing. Catching Stripers on Boards

Stripers are in the shallows feeding early in the morning. Fishing with me today was the fish catching Padgett family.( David, Dustin, and Tracy) They had a great day limiting out with 3-7 pound stripers, hybrids and large mouth basss. Check out our photos.

Stripers and Hybrid Caught on Boards.

Our planner boards are still working for us. One group fishing with me this week was Romell Cook from Appling, Ga. her son Eddie Cook from Charleston, S.C., his lovely wife Tara and lovely daughter Cali. Eddie caught the big fish of 8 pounds. His Mom caught a 6 pound large mouth bass. They had a cooler full of stripers and hybrids.
Also fishing with me this week was Pete Storey from Grovetown, Ga, Torrey Clark from Grovetown, Ga and Jon Robinson from Evans, Ga. They had 5 gallon bags full of filets. They are planning a big fish fry.
