Going Deeper for Stripers

We are putting extra weigh on our Capt. Mack’s umbrella rigs to get them deeper and it’s working. The fish that we are marking are 40-60 feet down. Our umbrella rigs are running about 35 feet down. Ray Dowdy from Harlem fished a couple days with me this week and he caught 22 stripers with the big fish weighing 12 pounds. Saturday Jeremy Murray and his 6 year old son Asa fished with me on Saturday. They caught 8 stripers and hybrids. Jeremy caught a 15 pound striper. We are marking a lot of fish but they are not biting very well. It’s catch one here and one there.
