Stripers and Hybrid Moving in to Shallows

Clark Hill Lake is still 8 feet below pool. But the stripers and hybrids are moving into shallow water. They are full of eggs and feeding on herring. On April 13th and 14th, my clients caught big fish. They weighed 3-10 pounds with most going around 4-6 pounds. We are pulling planner boards and free lines. With the water warming up, the fish should get bigger and we are hoping for a 30-40 pounder. Last year in April my son(Brad) caught a 45 pounder in 4 feet of water. Fishing with me this week has been Jim Thouvenot and Larry Freeman. They each caught a 10 pound striper on the same day.
