Stripers and hybrid are 30-60 feet down in 80 to 125 feet of water. We are using Captain Mack’s umbrella rigs with the 9 jig on them. To get the rigs down deep enough, we are using lead core line. The best fish are coming by letting 6 to 8 colors out. This is making rigs run 30-40 feet. Our fish are weighing 5-15 pounds and we are catching our limits. The best fishing time for us is 6:30 to about 11am. I have friends, who are catching fish 2pm to 5pm. These are nice fish. Wednesday was a good day of trolling, we caught 12 very nice stripers and hybrids, sometime catching 3 at a time. Main river channels is where we are fishing.
Also fish are starting to school on top. They are schooling from the dam to bass alley, up Keg Creek, up Little River Ga.
Good Fishing,
Captain Billy
